TRIBUTES

As a military wife, I know well the dedication that Senator Kennedy showed when he worked on behalf of the military and military families. While working as a local representative for the National Military Family Association, it was Teddy Kennedy who heard our cries of despair in the late 1980's when the military took our household goods away when were were posted overseas. Senator Kennedy was instrumental in getting our things restored to us. He knew that our homes were not the four walls we lived in but the things we took out the the boxes that the Pentagon had so callously put in storage.
That is but one of the numerous things he did to ensure the health and welfare of all the uniform services and their families. He has also helped my family directly by by helping pass the Americans with Disabilities Act, raising the minimum wage, and many others to numerous to mention.
Please know that his life has been an exemplar for everyone on how to live life. My family joins me in extending our sympathy and prayers in your time of loss. Also know that all his practice here on earth has prepared him for that eternity that God has promised where he will sing on key, he will be reunited with his brothers, and he will have to practice no more.
